Privacy notice

Small extension, small data footprint.

VRT MAX English Subtitles has no analytics, advertising, user accounts, or tracking.

What stays on your device

The extension stores whether subtitles are enabled for each VRT MAX episode you visit. This preference stays in the browser's local extension storage. The extension does not store subtitle history on a project server.

What is sent over the network

On a VRT MAX episode page, the extension uses the episode path to request a matching subtitle file from raw.githubusercontent.com. That request reveals the requested subtitle path and ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, to GitHub. GitHub processes that information under its own privacy statement.

The extension does not send your VRT credentials, cookies, payment details, or the contents of other pages to the subtitle project. Your use of VRT MAX remains subject to VRT's own terms and privacy practices.

Permissions

The extension runs only on pages below https://www.vrt.be/vrtmax/, reads the episode address to locate subtitles, connects only to the public subtitle repository, and uses local storage for the subtitle visibility preference.

Limited use

Information handled through browser APIs is used only to provide the extension's subtitle feature. It is not sold, used for advertising or creditworthiness, or made available for humans to read. The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Questions and changes
